A perfume and its bottle, made as one artwork. The bottle is an artifact of the ethereal, a space without place, familiar but elusive, with a sharp sense of the uncanny.

About the work
Liminal is a perfume bottle and the perfume inside it. It was made for New York/New Fumes at Olfactory Art Keller, where 21 New York scent artists, trained perfumers alongside visual artists and musicians, each contributed a new scent. The show set out to make the art of the juice present in the form of the bottle as well.
The scent was mixed without published notes, entirely in a subjective space. It exists only in this form and cannot be recreated.
I modeled the bottle in 3D, printed it in resin, grew crystals around it, and sealed the result.
