I am a nonbinary artist, perfumer and olfactory researcher working with scent as a medium. My practice spans olfactory art, fine fragrance, research and creative technology, and I advocate for olfactory literacy, our ability to perceive, understand and communicate smell.

I began in 2015, when Brian Goeltzenleuchter's Sillage showed me that scent could be as malleable a medium as paint or sound.

I make installations, performances and creative and speculative technologies for museums and galleries, fine and personal fragrance for brands and individuals, and tools for training and measuring the sense of smell. For six years I was a research consultant at the Vosshall Lab at The Rockefeller University, and I am working toward tools for scent and memory, informed by my personal connection to Alzheimer's research.

My work has been shown at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Artpace, Craft Contemporary and Olfactory Art Keller. I teach and speak at universities including RISD, Penn, NYU and Boston University, received the Innovation Award from NYC Media Lab and CHANEL, and served on the board of OSMOCOSM. I am an apprentice perfumer at Mythologist Studio, founder of Signals Olfactive and writer of Scent Made Digital.

I grew up studying marine biology and still dive, certified in coral health monitoring and coral nursery maintenance.
